Phonak Sphere Infinio I90-RL Hearing Aids

Most reviews focus on speech in noise which is fair because that is the headline feature. But I want to mention how good these are for music. I stream directly from my phone and the audio quality is rich and detailed. I play piano and hearing my own playing through these is genuinely enjoyable rather than the flat slightly artificial sound I got from previous aids. Well rounded device.

Bought these in November and writing this in late April. Six months of daily use with zero issues. Sound quality has not degraded. Battery performance is consistent. No repairs, no adjustments needed after the initial setup. Built to last and performing exactly as promised.

I had fairly high expectations going in based on the reviews I read. The Sphere still exceeded them. Particularly in the most challenging listening environments I encounter which tend to be large family gatherings and noisy pubs when watching sport. Both situations are now manageable in a way I genuinely did not think was achievable.

The universal Bluetooth on these is everything the marketing says it is. Paired with my Android phone on the first try and has not dropped once. Paired with my laptop for video calls just as smoothly. I work remotely three days a week and being on calls all day used to be draining with unreliable Bluetooth. Now I just put them in and everything works.

Social anxiety about hearing had crept up on me without me fully recognising it. I had started declining invitations to events I knew would be loud because the effort was not worth the reward. That has completely reversed since getting the Sphere. I went to three social events last month and enjoyed all of them. That is not something I would have said a year ago.
